OK here's the list of what to do.
1) Go to the Character Creations and click how to register yourself .
2) Fill it out and post it there, it will be fix into the appropriate fill later. Once your title has changed from tourist or your profile has been changed to accepted you may begin posting.

OR You can take the canon character way

1) Check out the Canon list, and pick which ever one strikes your fancy
2) Go back to the how to register yourself and fill it out with your canon's persona.
After you have been accepted you can go to the jobs area and pick out a job under the character sign ups.
